Engine 45

Engine 45 is a 2002 Pierce Quantum custom cab. This unit was built by Pierce Manufacturing at the Appleton Wisconsin Plant and has seating for 6. It is powered by a 430 hp Detroit 60 Series engine and Allison HD 4060 Automatic Transmission. It is equiped with a midship 1250 GPM Waterous single stage pump and a 800 Gallon poly water tank with two 30 gallon Class A & B foam tanks recessed inside to feed the on board Husky Injected Foam System. It has (2) 200' 1 1/2" and (1) 200' 2 1/2" preconnected lines and it carries 1000' of large diameter hose (LDH) which is utilized to make hydrant connections and supply water to the fire. Engine 45 is also equiped with a 13 KW portable gasoline generator, retractible cord reel and a 61' Skyboom with monitor that can be controlled from the ground or from the tip.
Engine 45 responds to structure fires, fire alarms, carbon monoxide calls, vehicle fires, and medical calls when needed. This unit is equiped with self contained breathing apparatus, electric positive pressure fan, an array of firefighting tools, and a Scott thermal imaging camera. All St. Stephens apparatus carries a compliment of medical equipment including fully stocked medical bag, oxygen, automated external defibrilator (AED), suction unit, spinal bag, and backboard.
