Truck 46
Truck 46 is a 2000 Pierce pumper/tanker built on a Freightliner FL80 commercial chasis. This unit was built by Pierce Manufacturing at the Appleton Wisconsin Plant and has seating for 2. It is powered by a 330 hp Cummins engine and Allison Automatic Transmission. It is equiped with a midship top mount 1250 GPM Waterous single stage pump and a 1,000 Gallon poly water tank with two 30 gallon Class A & B foam tanks recessed inside to feed the on board Husky Injected Foam System. It has (3) 200' 1 1/2" and (1) 200' 2 1/2" pre-connected lines and it carries 1000' of 3" supply hose which is utilized to make hydrant connections and supply water to the fire. Truck 46 is also equiped with a 10 KW hydraulic generator and retractible cord reel.
Truck 46 responds to structure fires, woods fires, vehicle fires, and mutual aid calls when tankers are needed by other departments. This unit is equiped with self contained breathing apparatus, booster line reel, Apollo high rise deck gun, and an array of firefighting tools. It is also equiped with a rear mounted newton quick dump for water shuttle operations. All St. Stephens apparatus carries a compliment of medical equipment including fully stocked medical bag, oxygen, automated external defibrilator (AED), suction unit, spinal bag, and backboard.
