On Friday April 22nd, Webb A. Murray Elementary School hosted a career day for its students. The morning was filled with people of all different occupations flowing through the hall ways in and out of the classrooms. There were police officers, firefighters, surgical technologists, and even a race car driver. This was a wonderful opportunity for young kids to learn about possible jobs and careers they may want to persue one day. Each guest made a presentation to the classes and then answered any questions the children wanted to ask. Firefighter Wise spoke to the second grade classes about the firefighting profession and brought a fire truck for the kids to see. Unfortunately the fire truck visit was cut short because of heavy rain. Our thanks to the second graders for making our visit to your school so much fun.

Units: Engine 41, Firefighter Wise, Mrs. Wise (Surgical Technologist), Russ Boger (Catawba County Sherriff's Department)
